HIDE CD DRIVE FROM MY COMPUTER

• goto-manage


• go to-device manager

HOW TO CREATE A PASSWORD RESET DISK FOR WINDOWS XP ??

To create a PASSWORD RESET DISK..

• Insert BLANK FLOOPY DISK in the drive.



• Open USER ACCOUNTS in control panel.



• Double click on YOUR ACCOUNT NAME.



• You will see PREVENT FORGOTTEN PASSWORD link on left side in window

• Select it and a wizard will pop up and walk you through the process of passwod reset disk.

note : if this task does not show up , that means you are using a LAN with domains.

If Your computer is on domain , you can create the disk as follow:

• Press ALT+CTRL+DEL to open window security dialog box.



• click CHANGE PASSWORD.



• in the log on to click down to arrow selecting local xp machine.



• click backup to open forgotten password wizard.



• click on next and follow the instructions.
